Responsible for developing methods to deploy employee portal throughout a worldwide division for a major auto manufacturer.

Achievements:

  • Developed methodology to review existing intranet sites which led to a roadmap for integration of over 100 separate intranet sites.
  • Conducted data gathering sessions with corporate and divisional technical leaders which developed a best practises assessment to evaluate a shared services model to better leverage existing technology investments.

ISANI Group

2000-2003
Client Executive responsible for solutions delivery for named clients. Coordinated with the sales team to develop proposals for work, including business case development, technical architecture, and requirements documentation. Led all activities related to the delivery of portal solutions using BEA Portal Server and Epicentric Portal.

Achievements:

  • Replaced project manger on an at-risk project; performed risk assessment and project review. Renegotiated exiting contracts to better reflect the work being performed resulting in reduction of risk for ISANI and increased client satisfaction.
  • Participated on pursuit team as pre-sales technical manager. Demonstrated on how client could integrate new solutions into their existing enterprise architecture, resulting in the acquisition of new clients.
  • Developed the Portal Migration Workshop to address the needs of Epicentric customers that were not running the current version of the portal. Developed tools and methods for rapid delivery of portal migration workshops and presented to potential clients, resulting in new business.
  • Re-engineered existing solution for portal customization and creation for FundsXpress, a banking application service provider, resulting in reduced support costs and the creation of additional commercial opportunities for FundsXpress.
  • Facilitated rapid data gathering and solution definition sessions resulting in a fully functional Supplier Portal prototype in 3 months. Represented and supported solution on site at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit (Jan 2001).
  • Developed project management tracking system to automate project invoicing and provide real time reporting of project schedule and status. System integrated requirements documentation, issue management, and time tracking. The system automated the previously manual process of creating project deliverables.

1998-2000
Senior Manager in a publicly traded Internet Professional Services company. Managed complete application lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing production support. Achievements:

  • Developed Program Management Methodology and toolset using Lotus Notes database templates, which were used in developing best practices company wide. Presented methodology and tools nationwide. Provided coaching for program managers on major accounts including Sony Consumer Electronics, A&E, and Master Card resulting in consistent practices company wide.
  • Program manager for Hilton.com. Successfully completed an account turn around by finalizing master services agreements and selling additional work. Managed total billings of over $2 million with a staff of 25 consultants. Managed the evaluation of existing site technical architecture resulting in a significant increase in site stability while continuing to support daily increases in online reservations and site visits.
  • Coordinated with sales team to acquire initial work with a new client. Proposed and won work to perform technical evaluations of exiting solutions in electrical billing and call centre operations. Managed consulting revenue of $1.5 million. Created a highly referable client.

Price Waterhouse

1994-1998

Achievements:

  • Managed project and provided sole customer interface for installation of HP-Unix server running Oracle and Entera middleware. Teamed with CIO and IT manger to successfully implement PW products into their existing data centre.
  • Led technical team on redesign of PW*Stars into a three-tier application using Oracle database, Entera middleware, and a Centura front end. Reduced development time and improved application consistency across the entire PW PinPoint Product line by encapsulating complex technical functions within application wizards and generated server code.
  • Performed analysis, design and development of gas marketing system resulting in improved integration with marketing and accounting systems. Facilitated user design reviews through presentations, business process analysis, and training for both user community and client developers.

  • Supported and developed applications resulting in rapid adoption of windows environment and reduced dependence on legacy systems.
  • Configured windows-based terminal emulation software improving usability of existing applications.
